8 Things You Should Do in Thailand

It is no surprise that Thailand is South East Asia's number one tourist destination. It is best known for its breathtaking beaches, its beautiful temples, and its modern urban sprawl, in Bangkok. This country is not one to be bored.

For visitors to Thailand, the problem is to best visit places and narrow down their list of activities. While there are many attractions and hot spots that I could list on this list, I decided to narrow it down to my top 8 things to do.

1. Visit the Grand Palace

This attraction is located in the heart of Bangkok. The palace has been home to the King, his court, and the entire government of Thailand for 150 years. It covers 218,400 square feet. There is so much to do and see in the area of 218,400 sq. To make the palace the popular attraction it is, huge walls were built around it and its offices in 1782. Please note that there is a dress code at the palace. You will have to wear appropriate clothing or you will be denied entry.

2. Thai massage

Thai massages are well-known all over the world. This massage stretches the body and works on pressure points. You will feel energized and balanced after the experience. There are many massage parlors in every small town or city. The prices are much lower than what you would pay at home.

3. Visit the Damnoen Saduak floating market

Although there are many floating markets in Thailand, this is the most well-known and largest. You will find many boats going up and down the canals, selling various fruits and foods. This market is a great place to get a glimpse into the past. If you have a good phone then you can take selfies through a photo editing app and click many photos to make a memory memorable If you love taking photos, the narrow canals and small wooden stilt homes will provide endless opportunities.

4. Go to Koh Phi Phi!

After the Leonardo DiCaprio film 'The Beach,' he rose to stardom as well as playing James Bond. Koh Phi Phi, a beautiful island in the province of Krabi is a must-see on any Thailand trip. This stunning island will make any beach feel more beautiful than it is after you visit it. You will need to walk a lot on the island as there are no roads. However, you won't be far from all the activity between the main beaches.

5. Driving like a local

It is very popular to travel by scooter. Nearly all tourists and the majority of locals do it. This is an unforgettable experience you won't want to miss. Sometimes it seems like there are no rules and everyone is responsible for their own actions. It can be a lot of fun to weave in and out of traffic while exploring places you wouldn't normally venture on foot. Keep your wits about yourself at all times, and be ready for anything.

6. Wat Arun is a great place to visit.

Thailand has more than 31,000 Buddhist temples. This particular temple Wat Arun was named after Aruna the God of Dawn. It is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River and is one of the most beautiful sites you can view. It is 79m tall and covered with colorful ceramic tiles and porcelain. This makes it a stunning sight. The entrance to the temple is dominated by two mythical giants.

7. Enjoy a Full Moon Party

Legend has it that a group of tourists discovered that the best view of the full moon from Koh Phangan was from there so they decided to throw a party. It became a tradition from that point on. Every full moon, up to 30,000 people travel to Koh Phangan for a party. It is a wild celebration of music, color, and drinking that lasts forever. You can rest at one of the nearby bars, or take a dip in the warm Gulf of Thailand if you feel the need.

8. Railay Beach

Railay Beach can be found in the south of Thailand, in Krabi. It is difficult to reach by traveling through the mainland because of the limestone cliffs that separate it from the rest. You can only get there by boat. You will feel relaxed on the beautiful beaches. There are no roads so there won't be any cars. This is the perfect place to learn rock climbing from some of the most skilled instructors in Thailand. You can spend your evenings at the beach drinking romantic cocktails and celebrating a surprise birthday party while watching the sunset. This is not the place for you if you're looking to party.
